Government eMarketplace & Dynamic Marketplace
The Government eMarketplace enables public sector buying organisations in England to easily access the Government Procurement centrally managed contracts and transact with suppliers. The Government eMarketplace can be used by Central Government departments, their agencies and Arm's Length Bodies and the wider public sector organisations.
The Government eMarketplace has the capability to integrate with buying organisations' ERP systems. There are five modules to the eMarketplace, each with a tiered fee structure, providing different levels of functionality.
Within the Government eMarketplace is the Dynamic Marketplace. This module allows customers with relatively simple requirements for low value projects of less than £100k (sub-OJEU requirements) to invite pre-registered suppliers to quote through a framework or the open market. This will make it easier to engage with suppliers, especially SMEs.
Guidance on how to participate via the Dynamic Marketplace is available here.

Benefits
The Government eMarketplace allows buying organisations to benefit from savings generated from centrally negotiated commercial arrangements, which provide better value through the aggregation and standardisation of Government requirements.
Other benefits will include:
- Rapid implementation - once a buying organisation is set up and users registered, staff can log on and start buying immediately from the central catalogues.
- Increased productivity and improved user satisfaction - the Government eMarketplace is easy to use so your staff will spend less time managing the procurement process.
- No catalogue management required - Government Procurement will manage the content of all centralised contracts and catalogues, removing the overhead from individual Buying organisations.
- Eliminate paper-based ordering - suppliers are already eEnabled and receive their POs electronically.
- Safe and secure ordering - the Government eMarketplace is supported by the Cabinet Office. It is accredited to HMG Level 2 or IL2 and it can be accessed directly over the Internet or via N3.
- No up-front set up charges - modules 1 and 2 are available through a tiered transaction fee, with modules 3, 4, and 5 available via an annual subscription.
- Buying organisations focus on strategic procurement - the use of central deals will free up resources so buying organisations can concentrate on strategic procurement, helping them to operate within reduced budgets.
