Catalogue Management

The ProcServe Catalogue Management solution helps organisations to answer the following questions:

  • Are out of date catalogues within your eProcurement system causing invoicing reconciliation issues?
  • Have you been disappointed with the quality of catalogues provided by suppliers?
  • Has maintaining catalogue data caused increased administration, diverting your buyers from more productive tasks?
  • Do your end users complain that they cannot find the products or services they need to order?

This solution can help solve these issues by providing powerful catalogue creation and validation tools, connected to an intuitive and user-friendly catalogue search engine.

Features

  • Self-service access to manage catalogues and content: Organisations can upload and import raw catalogue date in an easy-to-use format for management and distribution online. This data can be easily manipulated and maintained and sub-set catalogues can be created for different customers.
  • This solution provides supplier organisations with a secure eCommerce website for their customers. This includes a powerful search engine and shopping basket capability that is accessible via PunchOut from compliant P2P systems including SAP SRM, Oracle iProcurement, Ariba, Agresso, Cedar and many more.
  • Pre-configured content validation engine to check that required data is present and conforms to your requirements.
  • Organisations can transact electronically through a central ProcServe Transaction Hub integrated with their finance and logistics  systems for a variety of different transaction types including purchase order, invoice, quotation, based on standard XML or EDI formats.
  • Analysis tools to compare versions of catalogues quickly and easily without having to manipulate large spreadsheet files.
  • Send new or changed catalogue files for review and approval via an in-built workflow engine.
  • Export catalogues as an electronic file for loading into existing purchasing systems, or publish into the pre-integrated ProcServe Catalogue Search Engine. Features include; favourites lists, pre-defined shopping lists, external PunchOut support to commercial supplier websites, bulletin board for news stories and new catalogue information.

The ProcServe Catalogue Management solution is designed to work in harmony with your existing P2P or eProcurement system. The system is entirely web-based providing you with the option of allowing suppliers to upload catalogues directly for your review and approval.

Alternatively you can choose to use the system to upload existing catalogues into an environment that allows consolidation and the application of consistent data standards, such as universal commodity codes.

Once the catalogues have passed automated content-validation routines, the finished catalogue is published into the ProcServe Catalogue Search Engine. Here, your users will access the approved and validated catalogues via a ‘PunchIn' process from your eProcurement system.
