Department for Work and Pensions
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is the largest government department in the Government of the United Kingdom, created in 2001.The department has over 100,000 staff and makes up 25% of the UK Civil Service.
The DWP recognised the need for a system to support externally hosted catalogues and needed a simple process for transformational procurement. They recognised the value and capability of the Zanzibar Managed Service delivered by ProcServe and wanted to support the UK's national strategic initiative.
In the recently published OGC Procurement Capability Reviews, DWP was listed as being well placed in their effective use of procurement tools and techniques including Zanzibar. The Review commended DWP on having 'strong performance management, and a potentially world-class purchase to pay platform, with Oracle and Zanzibar'.
