ProcServe and the Department for Education have been working in partnership since 2006 to assess how better procurement in schools could be supported by a national eMarketplace service. OPEN - the online marketplace for schools - is delivered by ProcServe and is an initiative of the Department's Educational Procurement Centre. It has been specifically designed for schools to make the hassle of buying goods and services quicker, easier and simpler.
What we lack in the health service is information about what we buy. Zanzibar provides us with essential management information about our purchases with a detailed granularity that just wasn't available before. Zanzibar will ensure a great reduction in errors in the end-to-end procurement process, which in turn will mean that Invoice discrepancies will be far reduced. Ultimately this will mean the whole administration time taken for ordering goods & services will be greatly minimised.
