Veera Johnson, Chief Executive of ProcServe, Short Listed for Business Woman of the Year 2009

1st April 2009, LONDON, UK - ProcServe, a leading provider of procurement and electronic trading connectivity solutions, today announced that their visionary chief executive officer, Veera Johnson has been short listed for this year's Business Woman of the Year in the prestigious Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2009.

The central theme of her career has been to harness the power of technology to make life a little bit easier by saving private and public sector organisations time and money and by empowering people with information, choice and flexibility.

Veera Johnson said "I am thrilled and honoured to be included in the short list. It is humbling to be recognised amongst such high calibre and successful women in business."

The Asian Women of Achievement Awards are hosted by Real Business magazine, in association with Lloyds TSB. Founded and chaired by Indian born author and entrepreneur Pinky Lilani OBE, the awards celebrate the contribution that Asian women make to UK's business, public, cultural, and political sectors.

Pinky Lilani said: "We founded these awards in 1999 to recognise the contribution that Asian women were making to British life - a celebration of the cultural and social enrichment they provide. Over the last 10 years, they've become both a barometer of social change and an important platform for Asian women. "This year, we're casting the net far and wide to identify those women who - through their passion and commitment - symbolise today's diverse society."

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony taking place on the 20th May 2009 in London. For more information, please visit www.awaawards.com
