ProcServe customer, DCSF, speaks at BETT 2008
Darron Cox, Deputy Commercial Director at DCSF Discusses OPEN and the Educational Procurement Centre at the world's largest educational technology event
19th December 2007, LONDON, UK - ProcServe, a leading provider of procurement and marketplace connectivity solutions, today announced that their customer, the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) will speak about OPEN at BETT 2008. OPEN - the online marketplace for schools - is an initiative of the Department's Educational Procurement Centre that is delivered by ProcServe.
BETT 2008 is the world's largest educational technology event, and will be held in London on 9th -12th January 2008. BETT was first created in 1985 and during its long and important history it has continued to grow and help the education industry.
ProcServe and DCSF have been working in partnership since 2006 to assess how better procurement in schools could be supported by a national eMarketplace service. OPEN, delivered by ProcServe, has been specifically designed for schools to make the hassle of buying goods and services quicker, easier and simpler.
Erik Morley, IT Manager with Wightman & Parrish, an OPEN supplier, says "I like it a lot; I think it is very good. I use other systems and OPEN is by far the best. The electronic purchase order, eInvoicing and catalogue system is brilliant and is very easy to use"
Representatives from ProcServe and DCSF will be in attendance at the event. For more information, and a list of speakers, visit http://www.bettshow.com/

xchangewales eTrading for Schools may be a powerful tool but it is very simply set up on school computers and it takes a very short time to become familiar with its capabilities and processes.
